Our beginners course is great for anyone who wants to dive right into clay. Experienced instructors will guide you through the process of creating pottery on and off the potter's wheel. You will also learn basic methods for finishing and glazing your pieces. Class fee includes studio time during select times when classes aren't in session and the firing of pieces made during the eight week term. Acrylics
Working in acrylics allows for maximum flexibility in color, ideas and techniques. This medium can be used like watercolor or oils. Acrylic paint drys quickly and when dry is permanent. Learn techniques through demonstration and classroom practice using glazes, knife work, texture, composition tips as well as many other methods. Beginner Obedience (ages 18+)
Sit, Down, Off and Drop It are just a few of the commands your dog will master.This six week beginner course is designed for any dogs over 6 months old. Your dog will socialize on-leash with other dogs. Pottery Courses
The Brambleton Center offers a well equipped studio to create original works of clay in both wheel and freeform. Equipment includes 13 electric wheels, a slab roller, and an assortment of tools and accessories for shaping and sculpting the clay. A variety of glazes are mixed in the studio offering about 23 colors. Class fee also includes utilizing the studio on your own during select times when classes aren't in session and the firing of pieces made during the 10 week term.
